The first day back after the Christmas break on Saturday, 10th January was a lovely sunny day with no match cancellations. Not all Botanic teams had successful matches on the opening game of 2015 but everyone did get to play. It was good to get back into it after the festive break.
The following weekend, Saturday 17th January hasn’t been so lucky. All matches were cancelled due to frozen pitches all over Leinster. There are a lot of matches now to be rescheduled. (Hard work for the fixture’s secretaries out there). Here’s hoping that this freezing weather doesn’t last too long and we can get back to what we like best – playing and winning hockey matches.
