1sts played Kilkeel in the Irish Hockey Challenge Cup up in Kilkeel on Saturday, 4th February.
It was an exciting game by all accounts, finishing up 1-1 in full time. Gillian McAuliffe scored during the match. Following the full time whistle, it went straight to penalty flicks. Botanic won 2-0 on penalty flicks with Marie McDonnell, the 1sts goalie, saving all five of the Kilkeel shots. What a result!
The semi-final of this cup competition will be on 25th February in Wexford v Wexford HC. Time to be announced! Road trip!
