Botanic 1sts played Wexford HC on Saturday, 26th February in the semi-final of the Irish Hockey Challenge Cup. It was an early start for the 1sts on the day of the game as they had to travel to Wexford for a 10.30am kick off.
It was a windy and rainy day and no sun in the sunny South East but it was a good game of hockey nonetheless. It was a tough battle between the two sides. Both teams were up for the challenge. Wexford scored in the first half and this proved to be the only goal in the whole game. The match finished 1-0.
